THE LAST DAY

Always remember that day…
Speeding towards here from afar
Like a heavy williwaw
Its signs are no more concealed,
And Its coming
Coming! so close
The last Day

Always remember that day…
Speeding towards here from afar
Like a heavy williwaw
Its signs are no more concealed,
And Its coming
Coming! so close
The last Day

A period the earth will hang her title
When the last beings pop off,
And everything to nothing…
So deaf and dumb
Prevarication turns
And, man,
A witness, against himself
The last Day

A time
Hypocrisy and oppression drop dead
Corruption and pride lose selves
And, man,
Stand cannot against his fear
As he’s swamped
By the ocean of his sweat
The last Day

The last hour
When all beings would bawl and beg
For the mercy of Allah
For there’s no escape…
Allah!
The Creator!
Insurmountable King of all hours,
Ultimate Master of the day,
Olympian Judge of judges,
Sole knower of the day
The last Day

An ineluctable day
That would come in stunner
Repent!
For that day is near
And death is nearer
A day
That is more than zillion times
A day of accountability and reckoning
Accompany by recompense,
As upshot of all deeds come to light
The last Day

Believer or disbeliever?
Corking or crappy record?
This would make a choice
between the two antithetical domiciles –
Jannah and Jahanam!
Evermore abodes…
The last day.
